Amanda M. Buzo
Amanda M. Buzo joined the Firm as an associate
in November 2005.
Amanda graduated from The Ohio State University
with a B.S. in Human Ecology and a focus on Family Financial
Management. Amanda’s coursework and employment while pursuing her
undergraduate degree focused on estate planning and the financial
needs of the elderly, and included membership in the student chapter
of the Financial Planning Association and interning with the pension
department of a financial planning firm. Amanda graduated from the
University of Akron School of Law. She was a member of Akron’s Trial
Team and Jessup International Moot Court.
Amanda began working at
Hickman & Lowder as a law clerk during her second year of law
school, and started working full-time at the firm upon her
graduation. She is a member of the American, Ohio State , Cleveland
and Lorain County Bar Associations, as well as a member of the
National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Amanda focuses her practice
in the areas of special needs trusts, estate planning, elder law,
guardianships and probate. Amanda often advises guardians and
special needs trust trustees on their respective fiduciary
responsibilities. She has also spoken in the areas of estate planning
and Medicare Part D. Amanda divides her time between the Cleveland
and Elyria offices.
