
David A. Myers
David A. Myers has been practicing law in northern
Ohio for more than 25 years, and he heads the firm’s Lorain County
office. His professional and civic activities have always been devoted
to those who face special obstacles or challenges in their lives.
Early in his career David served the community by chairing boards
devoted to equal opportunity (Lorain County Urban League) and to
protecting abused, neglected and dependent children (Lorain County
Children Services).
David graduated from John Carroll University,
A.B., magna cum laude, in 1970 and received his law degree
from Catholic University of America in 1973. He has been licensed
to practice in Ohio since 1973, and before the United States Supreme
Court since 1980. In 1997 he became a Certified as an Elder Law
Attorney (certification by the National Elder Law Foundation). In
that field, David has been selected for inclusion in Ohio Super
Lawyers in 2008 for the third time and in Best Lawyers in
America®* annually since 2006.
David is a member of the Lorain County Bar
Association (Probate and Trust Section), the Ohio State Bar
Association (Elder Law Committee, and Estate Planning, Trust and
Probate Section), the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Lorain County
Coalition on Elder Abuse. He devotes time to the Lorain County
Voluntary Guardianship Program, and serves on the Boards of Trustees
of the Lorain County Office on Aging, the Long Term Care Ombudsman’s
Office (LTCO), and the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA).
