Lisa Montoni Garvin

Lisa Montoni Garvin joined the Firm as an associate in April 2007.

Lisa is a graduate of the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville.  She is also a cum laude graduate of John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

While in law school, Lisa was a member of the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court team.  Lisa was also a student volunteer with the Louisville and Cleveland Legal Aid Societies.  Lisa’s other community activities include volunteering with the Big Brother Big Sisters of America as a Big Sister, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training program, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lisa focuses her practice in the areas of estate administration, guardianships, and court-supervised trusts.  She joined Hickman & Lowder as a law clerk, working primarily in the areas of probate law and Medicaid planning.  Lisa co-authored with Janet L. Lowder Estate Administration and the Medicaid Estate Recovery Program:  The personal representative’s duty to notify, published in the January/February 2007 edition of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio.

Lisa is a member of the American, Cleveland, Lake County, and Ohio Bar Associations.  She lives in Lake County and works in the Cleveland office.
