Lisa Montoni Garvin
Attorney Lisa Montoni Garvin joined the Firm as an associate in April 2007. Prior to becoming an attorney, Lisa was a human resources professional for a national aluminum manufacturer.
She received her law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and graduated cum laude from John Carroll University with a B.S. in Psychology.
Lisa focuses her practice on advising individuals and families in the areas of estate administration, guardianships, elder law, and estate and special needs planning. She has written articles regarding Ohio’s Medicaid Estate Recovery program, guardianship of older persons, and the legal aspects of aging published in the Probate Law Journal of Ohio, the American Bar Association’s GPSolo magazine, and the Encyclopedia of Aging and Public Health. Lisa is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and of the American, Cleveland Metropolitan, Lake County, and Ohio State Bar Associations. Her community activities include participating as an Ohio Senior Health Insurance & Information Program volunteer through the Lake County Council on Aging, and as a Sidewalking Volunteer with the Achievement Centers for Children’s Therapeutic Horsemanship Program at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, Ohio.
Lisa lives in Lake County and works in the Cleveland office.
