Cleveland, OH (September 11, 2024) – Hickman Lowder Lidrbauch & Welch Co., L.P.A. is thrilled to welcome back attorney Amanda M. Buzo, who rejoined our team on August 19, 2024, at our Sheffield Village office. Her extensive expertise in special needs estate planning, guardianships, estate administration, and other probate matters, including the settlement of personal injury and wrongful death claims, will significantly enhance our commitment to serving clients with special needs and their families.

“I am incredibly thankful for the chance to rejoin this talented and dedicated group. The firm gives me the opportunity to practice in areas that are meaningful to me, including special needs, elder law, probate, and estate planning. Hickman Lowder is the ideal place to engage in purposeful work that makes a positive difference in people’s lives,” she says.

Attorney Buzo has devoted her career to serving individuals with disabilities and their families. She was an associate attorney at Hickman Lowder from 2005 through 2013 and then served as the Executive Director of Community Fund Ohio for almost 10 years. Co-founded by Hickman Lowder attorney Janet L. Lowder, Community Fund Ohio strives to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities by protecting their eligibility for government benefits and funding their current and future needs through pooled special needs trusts, grants, community education, and related services. Amanda’s experience with Community Fund Ohio and her previous work as a practicing attorney have provided her with an in-depth knowledge of estate planning for people with special needs, including special needs trusts, establishing guardianship, and maintaining government benefits.

Amanda’s return serves as a testament to our unwavering commitment at Hickman Lowder to advocate for individuals with special concerns. We embrace a compassionate and empowering approach, ensuring that every client feels not only supported but also informed as they navigate the often intricate and challenging legal landscapes. We encourage you to reach out and explore how we can assist you and your family.
