Independence, OH (December 4, 2025) — Hickman Lowder Lidrbauch & Welch Co., L.P.A. is pleased to welcome attorney Matthew O. Lyons to the firm’s Independence office. Matthew will focus his practice on estate planning, Elder Law, and probate matters.
Before joining Hickman Lowder, Matthew practiced at Rokisky, McCune, Wilharm, Blair & Risovich in Weirton, West Virginia, where he handled a wide range of client matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. He also developed strategic planning tools—such as Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts—to help clients qualify for long-term care benefits while preserving their assets. Matthew earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Toledo.
A proud native of a blue-collar steel mill town in West Virginia, Matthew credits his upbringing for shaping his work ethic and commitment to serving others. “Having grown up among people who devoted their lives to earning an honest living, I understand the value of protecting what individuals and families have worked so hard to build,” he says.
